Commissions

I accept illustration commissions! Below is a price guide featuring samples of various levels of complexity. These are the base prices for personal work. Prices for commercial or business work may vary depending on the intended use, distribution, and other factors.

The prices below are per-character and include a very simple background. A more complex background (think anything that I need to set up a perspective grid for) is considered the same as an additional characer bust for the purposes of pricing. Characters with especially complex designs may incur additional costs. Feel free to reach out for a quote, and we can discuss options that fit your budget! Pieces are done digitally and delivered as a full-resolution PNG file. Please let me know if you need a particular size.

Simple Sketch

A pencil sketch with minimal shading.

Terms of Service

Refunds & Cancellations

If the commissioner wishes to cancel before work begins but after the invoice is paid, the artist will retain 5% of the payment in USD as a convenience fee. For cancellation during the sketch/thumbnail phase, a 50% refund will be provided. No refund will be provided during the coloring phase or after completion. If the artist cancels the commission, 100% of the payment will be refunded in USD.
The artist reserves the right to cancel a commission or refund due to poor communication, rude or inappropriate behavior, or unforeseen inability to complete the commission.
The artist reserves the right to reject any commission for any reason.

Reservation of Rights

Unless explicitly negotiated otherwise, the artist reserves the right to display the work publicly on a website or gallery. If the work is time-sensitive, public display may be delayed accordingly.
The client retains all rights to their characters.
The client may not profit from the artwork unless an agreement for commercial or business work has been negotiated between the artist and the client, separately from this Terms of Service.

Commission an Illustration!

To commission an illustration of your very own, please send an email to livali@bonyfish.net with "Commission" somewhere in the subject line. Include a detailed description of what you'd like me to draw, along with any necessary references. I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have!
Feel free to look through my portfolio or art blog for more examples of my work. If you find something you like, you may include it in your email and I will give you a quote for something similar.
For payment, I prefer to send an invoice via Stripe, but can also do PayPal if need be. If neither of those is an option, feel free to email me and we can try to work something out.
